Welcome!
So you want to know more about me? Well, my name is Codie and I was born and raised in Nashville TN. I’m twenty-four, currently a size 16/18, and I'm a brunette.
I’ve always been a bigger girl, and since the 9th grade my size has fluctuated between 12- 24. I’ve never let my size affect who I am in front of other people, but, like everyone else, I just wanted to fit in and at times that was hard. Just like you, I would flip through the magazines and admire the pretty women with all of their pretty things and a little later on it occurred to me… It was what they were wearing that really made them bold and beautiful. Without the clothes they would look like any other person on the street that I may or may not do a double take of... and that’s when my life changed.
Walking into stores three or so years ago it was a struggle to find anything to fit that was flattering or stylish. I get flustered when I walk into a store and their ‘plus size’ department consists of elastic stretchy pants and large printed flowers on every other t-shirt. I hated not having the selection of clothing that the girls my age had. That’s when I fell in love with the search. I love searching for the perfect items to add to my collection and looking through all the pretty things each store has to offer.
Clothing allows people to express themselves; fashion is a form of art that your style helps you create.
I will always have my favorite retail stores -where I buy my staple items like jeans- but ladies, the secret to my success is thrifting. I have gotten so many compliments on my sense of style and thrifty ways + I love fashion. So this is why I’m here…now… writing this out. I want to share with you how I do it.
